6. Joseph FIELD was born in 1738 in Pennsylvania. He died on 7 Oct 1780 in North Carolina. Battle of King's Mountain, York Co., SC fighting for the Loyalists. Joseph FIELD had no known will or estate settlement. Joseph was among a group of NC Loyalists paid at NY, he being paid from 5 Feb. 1776 to 27 Oct. 1778.14 The last record found for him is on 23 Feb. 1778 when Commissioners for Guilford Co. sold 33 sheep, 11 cows, 1 calf, 13 steers, 4 yearlings, 1 heifer, and 7 young cattle, the property of William and Joseph Fields, they being Loyalitst. Col. James Martin bought for 250 pounds, 198 acres formerly Joseph Fields property.15 In the summer of 1780 a band of NC Loyalists were recruited, that were all killed or captured at the Battle of King's Mountain. It is belived Joseph was among those Loyalists killed.

There is evidence to support that he and Lydia JULIAN had at least the following children.
